French Conversation

If French is your thing, then we have 2 groups for you! The French Conversation Group meets on the second Monday of each month from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., in Meeting Room 1 in the Town Close complex (above Stokesley Library).

We aim to discuss a short story, or a topic of interest such as a member's visit to France - and we aim to keep the discussion in French!

So come and give this group a try if you wish to use your French in an informal setting.

Not quite that confident? Then think about...

French Improvers

The Improvers (not complete beginners) are people who are trying to keep up and improve their French. Our course is based on French Experience Book Two, a BBC French Multi-Media Course. We are also experimenting with introducing a brief (15 minute) conversation section, to give us some practice in speaking.

The Group generally meets on the fourth Monday of each month, in Meeting Room 1 above Stokesley Library, from 1.30 p.m. until 3.30 p.m.
