The Proposed 10th Anniversary Celebration on 22nd October 2014
has been CANCELLED due to low numbers wishing to attend
Since it is leading up to our 10th year it would be good to have memories about a group / meeting / outing / activity that you have particularly enjoyed over the years – it doesn’t need to be long or learned! – just what U3A has meant for you. Send your memories to Secretary
Come along to our monthly meetings at which we socialise, enjoy a speaker, take part in general discussion and find out about the group activities. The great strength of the U3A though lies in its internal
activity groups pursuing whatever subject their members wish, meeting where, when and how often they decide.
In September 2014, we celebrated our tenth anniversary, and our activity groups span a range of interests both social and intellectual.
Costs are kept to a minimum. Currently membership is an annual fee of £25; this includes attendance at monthly meetings and most interest group meetings. (Exceptions are Theatre and Concert, Travel and those groups where coach travel is involved or entrance fees are payable). Please contact us if you want full details, or follow the menu above for the latest News, to download the membership application form and our local information flyer.
U3A NEWS ‘THIRD AGE MATTERS’ is a magazine published quarterly by the National U3A..Iit is delivered to members’ home addresses. The list is updated every 3 months so please keep the membership secretary informed of any changes of address.
We are members of the Yorkshire and Humberside Region of the U3A. The menu pages will take you to links to see the latest regional newsletter and discover more about regional and local activities.
From time to time we need new Group leaders - see the News page for details, or if you wish to start a group read the information in the Groups menu.
